Memorable occasions have featured showcasing renowned filmmaker Dylan O'Neil, the first ever world champion surfers Peter "PT" Townend along with Ian Cairns, quadruple world champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/MMA athlete the celebrated Fabio Leopoldo, and the half-century commemoration of West Side Story, which involved hosting the complete Academy Award winning ensemble of West Side Story, featuring Academy Award honoree/Golden Globe winner George Chakiris along with Golden Globe winner/Oscar-nominated Russ Tamblyn. The Ventura Film Festival creator and executive director was selected to take part, accompanied by many of Hollywood's leading celebrities, in the 50th Anniversary tribute of West Side IN VENTURA COUNTY CALIFORNIA Story and Hollywood's famous footprint/handprint ceremony recognizing Academy Award winners Rita Moreno, George Chakiris, along with Golden Globe recipient Russ Tamblyn at the iconic Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This ceremony also acted as the official BluRay introduction by Fox and MGM of the iconic West Side Story, which is universally acknowledged by critics and fans as the most exceptional musical of all time.
